Counter the EDL / SAXON / AND RED CHOIRS....

We need YOU, especially if you're a Rotherham musician.  Please hit All Saints Square around around 10:30 and we'll get you 15 - 20 minutes of playing.  Please come along and take the streets from these Fascists and demonstrate that they are  not wanted in Rotherham, and that our Communities can be united in our diversity.    Basic facts HERE with links to what some of the local Leasers have been saying and "Hope Not Hate" and the UAF.

For more local up todate information about the EDL Rally Police HERE   :    Local Council   HERE

On Monday I was having a Meeting with someone in Myplace when we confronted by an EDL memeber who had been over hearing our conversation.  In a building and service created for multi - cultural interaction among our young people, he attempted to explain how multi culturalists like my companion and I were traitors while he was a mordern day hero.  OK a nutter, and not uncommon within the realms of EDL.  By taking no action, by somehow pretending that they are not there or that they will just go away - we surrender the Streets to these people.  And we know where it can end...........

Also Saturday, and still going ahead, playing Rotherham for the first time since 1975, we have the legendary Saxon playing at the Trades Club.  This is going to be a special evening, and at a really knock down price of £5 if you get your ticket before tomorrow night.   Tickets on the door £7.   Tickets are selling fast so reserve yours......... info@rotherhamartevents.com  or HERE

On Monday the Rotherham Red Choir will be singing out at the Tryline Club at The Rotherham Rugby Club, Clifton Lane, Rotherham, from 7:00pm.   They have a fantastic supporting cast with the South African sounds of SOSA-XA and great jazz from Two PlayTickets are £5 and £3 concessions.

At the Wednesday Accoustic Gallery Club, next week we have a fantastic line up, and for only £3!!!   You've not experienced nothing until the Old Market Gallery.   We have Dylan Brierly a fourteen year old singer song writer who if you've not already caught up with is simply amazing!   we have Storm Trees Acoustic, that fantastic duo who are normally found rocking as a quartet,  they'll have their EP with them, not to be missed.  Like Blues?  then you won't want to miss the amazing Chris Martin - a genius with a slide on his finger.  And topping the lot - yes it's Masher week, and I'm not telling you what time on going on this time.

And on Friday we have a top night of Theatre.

The Main Festival has "Call Me Mr Robson" a one man play about the life of Paul Robson at RCAT

We on the Fringe present two one person productions.  Tina Mckevit will be performing "A Poor Prospect: Tales from The Workhouse" with songs, poems and prose, which will be followed by Stan Skinny's Edinburgh Festival Fringe hit "The Tesco Chainstore Massacre".  Tickets £5 and £3 HERE  At the Old Market Gallery.

Plenty else will be happening, including on Sunday a Big Draw Event at the Montgomery Hall, Wath.  Not sure what time it starts, but it's one for all the family and I'm starts in the morning.
